Old style fishing

I noticed that Sklotopolis has added back the old fishing system, in addition to the new. I'd love to get a server mod of that type, to bring back the old. We are already using bdew's fishing mods (server and client) but it's still much more complicated than it used to be, and not all players have the client side mods.
It used to be so Zen and easy. My elderly mother would fish for literally an hour or more at a time, and newbies could easily feed themselves with just a stick, string, and wooden hook. Would love to have that back.
